The era of prohibition in America saw organized crime rise to new heights andthe establishment of criminal families that frequently fought with each other inbloody mob wars. There was a lot at stake in this a dog-eat-dog world of crime.Fortunes could be made if you controlled all the: gambling booze distributionprostitution and protection rackets in your neighborhood.
But you were never safe for long there were always new guys coming along tomuscle in on your turf. Guys that would just as soon drown you in a cement mixeras give you the time of day. Your quest to become the King Pin amongst yourpeers takes you to five different cities. Starting in the suburbs of quietlittle old Hick Town on to the inhospitable Cripple's Bend then halfway acrossthe world to Rangoon in Burma back to the Southern parts of the U.S. in DeadDog Ditch and finally to the Mecca of organized crime - — Capitol City. Everycity presents a unique challenge as you have to overcome the natural hazardsalready there and still carry out the demands of the Godfather.
To wrest control of a city from the grasp of other families you must fight ablock-by-block turf war against them and the authorities. Using your gang ofWorkers Gangsters Undesirables Thugs and Fixers you start by constructing apower base in a city which you ultimately hope to expand into an empire bycontrolling all the blocks in the city. This is not something you can doquickly; it takes time planning Resourcefulness and a willingness to becompletely ruthless. You'll have to wage bloody war on rival gangs cope withregular shakedowns by the police and still find time to make money.

The game sends you to different cities (Hick Town Cripple's Bend RangoonRumpus Dead Dog Ditch and Capitol City) where you must complete a series ofmissions set by the Godfather. While carrying out the wishes and desiresof the Godfather you will also have to cope with rival 'Families' also tryingto establish themselves in the same city. Make sure you pay attention to whatthe Godfather wants you to do; he has a mean temper and does not suffer foolslightly. Only when you have done the bidding of The Boss do you get to move onin the game. The first ten missions of the game have been speciallystructured to make your initial playing experience easy through the use ofhint-text boxes
You are in a small town off the beaten track called Hick Town. This townhas been targeted by organized crime to be a training ground for punks new tothe business and as such you will be expected to learn all the tricks of thetrade. When you arrive at Hick Town you have a small stash of money in thelocal bank and a tiny plot of land where your Headquarters Building is locatedjust about enough for one or two small buildings. You'll have to check outthe other cities....are you up for it?
